Our aim at Miller was to create a 6,500 square foot sales training center that could lead a double life, able to switch functions as easily as a quick-change artist. First, it had to hold monthly meetings of up to 75 people, requiring the use of several multimedia screens and other technical equipment. In the off hours, the room had to then serve as a relaxed space for hospitality, where account managers could entertain clients. We designed the layout so that the sales representative furniture could be stowed in an adjacent room and the more comfortable client seating rolled in with speed and efficiency. Futuristic details and a lively color palate help to keep both representatives and clients charmed. To further set the mood for client seduction, the indirect utilitarian lighting used for training is flicked off in favor of intimate wall scones.
