The process of architectural design is unique for each project. The beauty of our profession is that every design is an opportunity to discover creative solutions, explore available materials, and refine the details. It was impressed upon me very early in my career that a project is never truly finished; you just have to find a good stopping point. It is a balance of satisfying the client while maintaining the integrity of the design. It is challenging, it is collaborative, and seeing our design come to fruition…it is inexplicably gratifying.

Nicole joined the Flavin Architects team after accumulating over a decade of experience in architecture. In addition, her time spent as construction supervisor and site coordinator contributes to an integral understanding of the process of architectural design. She enjoys the challenge of working a design through from the first sketch to finished construction, collaborating with clients and contractors throughout. Her creative problem solving and passion for the ways in which architecture affects those around it drives her to develop effective design solutions.

Nicole earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2006, where she won a city-wide design competition based on a real-life neighborhood revitalization project. In addition to her residential expertise, she has cross disciplinary experience in industrial design and custom furniture building.
